Grayslake building and district administrators are getting ready to undertake the "Shadow a Student" challenge!"The Shadow a Student challenge is a national movement encouraging school leaders to follow a student throughout the school day to gain insight and empathy for our students' experiences.
The organizers at shadowastudent.org write,
"The Shadow a Student Challenge is a journey that starts with seeing school through your student's eyes, identifying meaningful opportunities to improve the school experience for your students, and then taking action to create change at your school site."

D127 administrators will follow a selected student throughout a school day during the week of April 16. This will be for every class, including Life Fitness. So if you see a new student in class with a brand new gym uniform trying to keep up, it might be an administrator!
Furthermore, we plan to document the experience and the insights we and our students gain as a result. Stay tuned, there's more to come!
